Wood Coasters

Wood coasters carry weight in the hand and a grain that no printed material imitates convincingly. We cut them from solid hardwood — birch, walnut, maple or acacia — and finish them by hand, so each one is a little different in the way that makes a table look considered rather than catered.

Laser engraving is what wood does best. The beam burns into the grain, which means a logo or a monogram has real depth and contrast, and it will still be there in ten years because it is not a coating that can wear off. Color printing is available where the brand needs it, and engraving and print can be combined — engraved mark, printed accent.

Every coaster is sealed against moisture and finished in natural oil, a stain or a matte lacquer. A cork or felt backing is standard, so the wood never scratches a bar top or a dining table. Round, square and hexagonal shapes are stocked, and custom outlines are cut on the same laser that does the engraving.
