Acrylic is the modern option: clear, hard, glassy, and completely at home in a room with a lot of metal and glass in it. We cut it from cast acrylic sheet, polish the edges to a clear finish, and print either on the face or, more interestingly, on the reverse so the artwork sits behind the material and picks up a genuine sense of depth.

Reverse printing is the trick most people have not seen. Because the ink sits under a few millimetres of clear acrylic, colors look deeper and the surface stays perfectly smooth and wipeable — nothing to scratch off, because the print is not on the outside. Colored, frosted and mirrored acrylics are all available, as are embedded elements like dried botanicals or metallic flake.

Acrylic does not absorb, so these are a wipe-clean rather than a soak-up coaster; a non-slip pad on the underside handles grip and protects the table. They are the most precisely cut format we make, which means custom shapes, cut-outs and interlocking sets are all straightforward.
